Education: Funding for a full-time teacher (mainstream schooling is seldom an option and special needs education is not readily available)
Property renovations: Existing Child and Youth Care Centre must be renovated to make it more child-friendly
Sport facility: Development of our sport facility including coaching – to be utilized by the boys as well as the surrounding community
Self-sustainability: Development of an income-generating program, utilizing the 5.2 hectares property in Roodewal to transfer skills and develop small businesses for the boys and surrounding community
Youth Centre: A residential facility to accommodate the youth to be built on our property in Roodewal as part of our independent-living program. (There is no facility or programs available for “ex-street” youth of Bloemfontein)
Vehicle: A 16-seater combi would not only allow us to transport large numbers of boys safely but also ensure effective services
Clothing & Shoes: Summer and winter, smart and casual clothes, underwear, sport attire, pajamas, swimwear for boys
Groceries: Food, toiletries, laundry and cleaning materials
Stationery: Back to school and office supplies
Educational aids: Educational products for home schooling, wall charts, flash cards, puzzles, posters, books, colouring books
Garden: Vegetable seedlings, plants, shrubs, fruit trees, garden furniture, lawn mower
Household Needs: Furniture (house/office/class room), crockery and cutlery, towels, blankets, linen, appliances, lockers with shelves, air-cons and heaters
Security system: Installation of a security system at the Child and Youth Care Centre in Roodewal
Maintenance: Paint for inside walls, gutters and outside buildings
Small scale farming projects: supplies, equipment and training for chicken farming and a vegetable garden
Recreation: Sports and gym equipment, toys, games, jungle gym, music instruments, CD’s, DVD’s, DVD player and Xbox
Skills Development: volunteers and organisations to provide or finance informal/formal skills training, learnerships and workplace learning
Volunteers to provide cooking lessons, health services, maintenance, transport, sport coaching, literacy and study assistance, religion and art (music, drama, painting and arts & crafts)
